Our Mission To preserve and promote Tibetan culture, religion and language while educating Americans about what has happened - and what is still happening - in Tibet. What We Do... · Provide weekly Tibetan Language classes to newly-arrived children. · Offer instruction in traditional Tibetan folk dances and musical instruments. · Organize peaceful protests and vigils to support Tibetan prisoners of conscience and raise awareness of the suffering in Tibet under the Chinese rule. · Coordinate traditional community events including the celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Birthday, March 10th Tibet National Uprising day, and Losar - the Tibetan New Year. · Assist citywide groups seeking Tibetan dance performers, or speakers for classes and events. |
